Importance of Dewpoint Measurement
We assist you in identifying drying faults
The presence of water vapor in compressed air systems can lead to pipeline corrosion, shorten the lifespan of pneumatic components, cause actuator failures, and result in contamination of the compressed air system, which can lead to unplanned production stoppages and immeasurable cost losses

When compressed air is cooled, the relative humidity increases. As the temperature continues to drop and the relative humidity reaches 100%, water droplets begin to condense out of the compressed air. The temperature at this point is known as the "pressure dew point" of the compressed air

By monitoring the pressure dew point, we can quickly respond to drying faults in the compressed air system
This helps extend the lifespan of the compressed air system and its components, makes system maintenance more effective, reduces issues during operation, and ensures the production of stable quality products

Technical Q&A
What's the Difference Between Atmospheric Dewpoint and Pressure Dewpoint?
Atmospheric dewpoint refers to the dewpoint under normal environmental conditions without pressure, such as compressed air released into the atmospheric environment. When air is compressed, the water vapor it contains is compressed into a smaller space. As a result, the amount of water vapor per unit of space increases, causing the dewpoint to rise. Pressure dewpoint is the dewpoint measured under pressure
Why is it Necessary to Measure the Dewpoint?

Due to the natural phenomenon of diffusion (where gases flow towards equilibrium), even pressurized air allows moisture from the environment to penetrate into the compressed air system. Moisture enters through numerous connection points in the system, causing the dewpoint to rise. In applications where a low dewpoint is critical at the usage point, this should be considered, and only measuring the dewpoint at the point of use is reliable
